Dr. Michael Gliddon is a native of Plymouth, England. He emigrated with his family to the United States at an early age, settling in south Florida.

About Dr. Gliddon

Dr. Michael Gliddon is a native of Plymouth, England. He emigrated with his family to the United States at an early age, settling in south Florida. After graduating from high school in 1987 he spent four years on Active Duty with the United States Air Force, during which he served in support of Operation Desert Storm. After being honorably discharged in 1991 he returned to school attending San Antonio College and subsequently the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Dental School where he obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1998. Dr. Gliddon took advantage of a health professions scholarship with the United States Army during dental school and after graduation returned to Active Duty.

His education in dentistry continued with successful completion of a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency in Baumholder, Germany followed shortly by successful completion of a four-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency through the University of Texas Houston Dental Branch. After completion of his training, he was stationed at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma and quickly deployed from there in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom stationed out of Mosul, Iraq. Dr. Gliddon completed his military obligation by teaching in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Brooke Army Medical Center, Ft. Sam Houston, Texas where he continued treating severely injured Iraq war veterans. He was honorably discharged in 2008 and has been in private practice since then.
