Dr. Kumar C. Shah

Dr. Shah received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the National University of Singapore before earning his Master of Science degree and Certificate in Prosthodontics from The Ohio State University. He completed fellowship training in Maxillofacial Prosthetics at UCLA, advanced education in Translational Science through the UCLA Clinical and Translational Science Institute, and later earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Illinois.

During his tenure at UCLA, Dr. Shah served in several leadership roles, including Director of the Graduate Prosthodontics Residency Program, Director of the Advanced Prosthodontics and Implantology Preceptorship Programs for international dentists, and Director of the UCLA Faculty Group Dental Practice. He has educated and mentored generations of dentists and specialists while contributing to the advancement of prosthodontics through teaching, research, and professional leadership.

Dr. Shah is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and a Fellow of the Academy of Prosthodontics, the American College of Prosthodontists, and the International Team for Implantology (ITI). He has also served on the boards of several national and international dental organizations, including the International College of Prosthodontists.

Now retired from his academic career, Dr. Shah continues to bring his extensive expertise to private practice, where he focuses on comprehensive restorative dentistry, implant prosthodontics, full-mouth rehabilitation, and the management of complex implant complications. His philosophy is centered on providing personalized, evidence-based care that restores function, enhances esthetics, and improves each patient's quality of life. Known for his thoughtful approach and attention to detail, Dr. Shah partners closely with patients and referring dentists to develop customized treatment plans that achieve predictable, long-lasting results.
